August 27 2014 – UXC Connect has entered an agreement with Accor Asia Pacific to implement its cloud based communications service, iTaaS, with the first solution being implemented for the Ibis Adelaide, which opened in July 2014.
In an Australian first, UXC Connect, working with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, has offered Accor Asia Pacific a commercial model that charges the communications service on a per occupied room per night basis. UXC Connect created an industry-specific consumption-based model for the hotel group to address growing demand in the market for a pay-per-use model when it comes to telephony and related services. For Accor this was about creating a flexible cost model in line with business demand whereby the hotel only pays for the rooms that are in use.
iTaaS is a cloud communications solution partially or fully managed by UXC Connect for a monthly fee per user per feature. iTaaS offers fixed line telephony, unified messaging, presence and instant messaging, conferencing and mobility features that can be purchased separately or as a complete package.
