August 15, 2011 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the 750 Series Documenting Process Calibrators.

Process professionals have long relied on the 743/744 Documenting Process Calibrators for advanced instrument calibration, especially in rugged environments.

Operating the new 750 Series is similar enough to the 743/744 that existing users will be able to immediately start using the 750 Series with no required training to get substantially increased performance from the new models.

These field tools calibrate temperature, pressure, voltage, current, resistance, and frequency and have three operating modes:
* measure
* source
* simultaneous measure/source.

The three operating modes let technicians troubleshoot, calibrate or maintain instrumentation with just one tool.

The 750 Series features an easy-to-follow, menu-driven display that guides users through tasks. Programmable calibration routines let technicians create and run automated as-found/as-left procedures to ensure fast, consistent calibrations. The recorded results can then be easily downloaded to a PC via the USB port, eliminating the need for manual transcription.

Improvements over the original model include a graphical display that is now bright enough for readings to be seen in any light condition. The multi-lingual interface displays instructions in English, French, German, Spanish or Italian.

Another popular improvement is the new, rechargeable Li-ion battery pack, which provides enough power for an entire shift and can be charged from within the calibrator.

Brand-new and included with every 750 series calibrator is the C799 soft case. This unique case features a clear window to shield the calibrator from the elements while still giving the operator full access to the calibrator’s controls and keyboard. The case design includes an input-output slot for test leads, open side pockets to connect a pressure module, and ample storage for a pressure module, hand pumps, test leads and interconnect cables.

Integrated Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) communication capability
The 754 model is the first field calibrator for HART instruments that is both powerful and easy to use. The 754 offers fast HART communication and requires no external box or secondary tool to perform everyday HART calibration and maintenance. The 754 is easy to update as additional instruments are added and new HART versions are released, and is backed by the service and support of Fluke, a member of the HART Communications Foundation.

Support for popular instrumentation management software
The 750 Series works with the new Fluke DPC/TRACK™ 2 software for managing calibration records and data. It features an instrumentation database that makes it easy to manage instrumentation, create and schedule tests, load and unload the calibrator, print a variety of standard reports, and manage calibration data.

The 750 Series also works with calibration management solutions from Honeywell Meridium, Emerson, Cornerstone, Yokogawa, Prime Technologies, Intergraph, and others.

The Fluke 750 series comes standard with three sets of stackable test leads, three sets of TP220 test probes with three sets of ‘extended tooth’ alligator clips, two sets AC280 hook clips, C799 Field Soft Case, Li-ion battery pack, battery charger, USB communication cable, getting started guide, instruction manual on CD-ROM, NIST traceable certificate of calibration, DPC/TRACK 2 software sample, and a three-year warranty. Model Fluke-754 includes HART communication cable.

Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke® 434/PWR Power Quality Analyser for easy energy analysis.

July 15, 2011 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke® 434/PWR Power Quality Analyser for easy energy analysis.

The instrument helps electricians, field service engineers and maintenance technicians uncover energy waste in commercial and factory buildings as well as in equipment and machines.

The 434/PWR can be used to conduct energy consumption studies and electrical load analysis, and to perform power quality logging and analysis surveys. The power analyser can also help technicians demonstrate the benefits of efficiency improvements by testing energy consumption.

The instrument measures harmonic distortion caused by electronic loads, and analyses reliability problems by capturing voltage dips and swells from load switching.

A full-colour display uses industry-standard, user-selectable colour coding to correlate measurements with actual wiring. It logs incoming data with a unique AutoTrend function that highlights changes of data over time. The data can then be analysed with Fluke’s Power Log software, which is included with the 434/PWR.

AutoTrend gives quick insight into changes over time. With a single push of a button, the system monitor gives an overview of power system performance. It also checks that incoming power complies with standard limits or custom specifications. Trend analysis is made easier by automatic scaling of the vertical axis, so the waveforms can always be shown on a full display.

Load studies and energy assessments
The 434/PWR is a complete three-phase troubleshooting tool that measures virtually every power system parameter: voltage, current, frequency, power, energy consumption, cos ? or power factor, unbalance and harmonics and inter-harmonics.

The instrument captures events like dips and swells, interruptions and rapid voltage changes based upon ½ cycle rms values. Two groups of four channels simultaneously measure voltage and current on all three phases and neutral. The 434/PWR meets 600 V CAT IV, 1000 V CAT III safety standards required for measurements at service entrance.

A logging function lets users customise measurement selections and provides analysis to find intermittent problems or relate power quality issues to other phenomena/events. The logger provides detailed and user-configurable long-term recording. It gives MIN, MAX and AVG readings of up to 100 parameters on all four phases. Averaging time can be selected down to 0.5 seconds (or 1 minute for one day’s recording, 10 minutes for one week, 30 minutes for one month or more).

Extensive data analysis
The 434/PWR can perform extensive data analysis. Cursors and zoom can be used “live” while taking the measurements, or ‘offline’ on stored measurement data. The stored measurements can also be transferred to Power Log software.

Designed to quickly view recorded data, the built-in Power Log software displays all recorded parameters on interactive trends. Users can generate professional-looking, customised reports using the report generator, or copy and paste images into reports manually.

Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke ScopeMeter® 190 Series II 2-channel handheld portable oscilloscopes.

July 7, 2011 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke ScopeMeter® 190 Series II 2-channel handheld portable oscilloscopes.

These new models combine the power of a 2 channel oscilloscope with a 5000 count digital multimeter and paperless recording modes, creating an advanced test and measurement tool that service and maintenance professionals can rely on for troubleshooting equipment performance problems in the field.

The 2-channel models join the recently-introduced 4-channel ScopeMeter 190 Series II models to create the first full line of high-performance portable oscilloscopes with 2 or 4 independently isolated input channels, rugged sealed case and CAT III 1000V/ CAT IV 600V safety rating.

Fluke ScopeMeter test tools are ideal for service, installation or maintenance tasks on industrial electronics, electrical machinery or control systems.

Oscilloscopes are tools that extend electrical or electronic troubleshooting techniques by providing a clear picture of what an electrical signal looks like. By visually analysing the waveform you can instantly see common signal disturbances like noise, distortion or transients.

Closely inspecting the waveform over the amplitude or time domain can reveal errors like signal attenuation, fluctuation, drift or even unwanted offsets and jitter. Capturing and assessing the extent of these anomalies is the first step in diagnosing an electrical system failure. The Fluke 190 Series II is the right tool for the task.

The Fluke ScopeMeter is the industry standard for portable, safe and rugged oscilloscopes. They are the only portable oscilloscopes that combine a sealed case that is dust and drip proof tested in accordance to IP51 with a design that is tested to withstand 3g vibration or 30g shock.

Popular enhancements in the new 190 Series II include extended battery life, hot-swappable batteries and a higher safety rating. The ScopeMeter operates for up to 4 hours with a 2400 mAh Li-Ion pack (standard with 2 channel models) or up to 7 hours with the high capacity 4800 mAh Li-Ion pack (standard with 4 channel models optional for the 2 channel models). The battery door makes it possible to quickly swap in a fresh charged battery. Independent electrically isolated inputs safety rated to CAT III 1000 V/CAT IV make it safe for engineers or technicians to measure everything from low voltage control signals all the way up to a 3-phase mains power supply.

The ScopeMeter 190 Series II is available in 200 MHz and100 MHz, either 2 or 4 channel, plus an additional 2 channel 60 MHz model. With up to 2.5 GS/s sampling rate and deep memory of up to 10,000 sample points per input the new 190 Series II will capture and display just about any waveform or waveform anomaly. With two electrically isolated USB ports, users can conveniently store data to a USB memory device or easily connect to a PC and transfer waveforms or screen images for data analysis or archive.

Fluke ScopeMeter test tools are full featured and high performance yet easy enough to use that technicians and engineers alike use them for a wide range of plant maintenance and field service applications from installation and commissioning to maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial, electro-mechanical, process, and automation electronic, medical imaging equipment, and communications and avionics systems.

With the increase in both robotics and co-gen systems, many industrial facilities now particularly require the capability to capture, display and diagnose amplitude, time, wave shape or disturbance related problems on signals from motor controls, programmable logic controllers, power supplies, inverters, actuators, sensors and encoders.

May 26, 2011 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke 810 Vibration Tester.

The most advanced troubleshooting instrument available for vibration, the Fluke 810 enables maintenance teams to rapidly collect data and diagnose and solve mechanical problems with an affordable, easy to use tool.

The handheld Fluke 810 is designed and programmed to diagnose the most common mechanical problems of unbalance, looseness, misalignment and bearing failures in a wide variety of mechanical equipment, including motors, fans, blowers, belts and chain drives, gearboxes, couplings, pumps, compressors, closed coupled machines and spindles.

When it detects a fault, the Fluke 810 identifies the problem and rates its severity on a four-level scale to help the maintenance professional prioritise maintenance tasks, and recommends repairs. Context-sensitive on-board help menus provide new users with real-time guidance and tips.

Many industrial maintenance teams work under severe financial and time constraints. The Fluke 810 Vibration Tester uses a simple step-by-step process to report on machine faults the first time measurements are taken, without prior measurement history. The combination of plain-text diagnoses, severity ratings and repair recommendations helps users make better maintenance decisions and address critical problems first.

Typical vibration analysers and software are intended for monitoring machine condition over the longer term, but they require special training and investment that may not be possible in many companies. The Fluke 810 is designed specifically for maintenance professionals who need to troubleshoot mechanical problems and quickly understand the root cause of equipment condition.

Mechanical diagnosis with the Fluke 810 begins when the user places the Fluke triaxial TEDS accelerometer on the machine under test. The accelerometer has a magnetic mount and can also be installed by attaching a mounting pad using adhesive. A quick-disconnect cable connects the accelerometer to the Fluke 810 tester. As the machine under test operates, the accelerometer detects its vibration along three planes of movement and transmits that information to the Fluke 810. Using a set of advanced algorithms, the 810 Vibration Tester then provides a plain-text diagnosis of the machine with a recommended solution.

A new approach to machine testing
Evaluating mechanical equipment typically requires comparing its condition over time to a previously established baseline condition. Vibration analysers used in condition-based monitoring or predictive maintenance programs rely upon these baseline conditions to evaluate machine condition and estimate remaining operating life.

In contrast, the Fluke 810 is a troubleshooting tool that analyses current machinery condition and identifies faults by comparing vibration data to an extensive set of rules developed over years of field experience.

The Fluke 810 determines fault severity using a unique technology to simulate a fault-free condition and establish a baseline for instant comparison to gathered data. This means that every measurement taken is compared to a “like new” machine.

Viewer application software
The Fluke 810 Vibration Tester includes Viewer PC software, compatible with Windows XP and Vista, to expand its data storage and tracking capability. With Viewer the user can:
* create machine setups at the computer keyboard and transfer the data to the 810 Vibration Tester
* generate diagnostic reports in a PDF file format
* view vibration spectra in greater detail
* import and store JPEG images and Fluke .IS2 thermal images for a more complete view of a machine’s condition.

The Fluke 810 Vibration Tester comes with embedded diagnostic technology, triaxial TEDS accelerometer, accelerometer magnet mount, accelerometer mounting pad kit with adhesive, accelerometer quick-disconnect cable, laser tachometer and storage pouch, smart battery pack with cable and adapters, shoulder strap, adjustable hand strap, Viewer PC application software, mini-USB to USB cable, Getting Started Guide, illustrated Quick Reference Guide, User Manual CD-ROM and a hard carrying case.

Sydney, April 5, 2011 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology has announced the availability of the new TL175 TwistGuard Test Leads, the only test leads with a manually adjustable test tip guard for use in changing measurement situations.

By twisting the test lead, the user can change the exposed probe tip length from 4/25 inch (4 mm) to ¾ inch (19 mm). When the tip guard is fully extended, the TL175 Test Leads are safety rated for CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V use. When the tip guard is retracted, the test leads are safety rated for CAT II 1000 V use.

WearGuard™ indicator provides added safety factor
The new TL175 Test Leads are also Fluke’s first leads with WearGuard™ insulation.

Each test lead is covered by two layers of silicone insulation, red or black on the outside, and white on the inside. If the TL175 Test Leads become nicked or scuffed and white insulation is visible, the user has a visual warning that the test leads should be replaced.

While the WearGuard indicator shows excessive wear, the TL175 Test Leads are designed to last longer than any other leads currently available. The dual-layer silicone insulation resists melting if it comes in contact with hot surfaces and remains flexible in cold situations. The extra-heavy duty strain relief, built into both the probe-end and the plug-end, has been tested beyond 30,000 bends without failure.

The universal input plugs work with all popular brands of digital multimeters with 4 mm input jacks.

Screw-on tips add versatility
The TL175 Test Leads also offer screw threads at the base of the probe. This lets the user add screw-on clips, probes and specialty tips. The threads improve measurement reliability, while the wide range of probe tips enhances measurement productivity.

Pricing and availability
Fluke’s new TL175 TwistGuard Test Leads are available for immediate purchase at leading electronic and electrical distributors worldwide.
