In recognition of the market’s rapidly increasing appetite for flexible hybrid IT capabilities such as colocation and cloud consumption, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced the expansion of its global data centre footprint and leading-edge innovations for data centre hosting services.

In 2015, CenturyLink added 14 megawatts of critical capacity at eight data centre, and in the first half of 2016, the company plans to further increase capacity in four data centres. In the last five years, CenturyLink has completed 39 data centre expansion projects and added 11 new data centres. The company currently offers approximately 2.62 million square feet of gross raised floor space throughout North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

PIVOT™ by Spectralink achieves Google™ Mobile Services certification

Spectralink AIMS partners (Application Integration and Management Solvers) work with Spectralink to deliver specialised vertical, workplace-specific applications to customers. AIMS partners whose solutions rely on Google™ Cloud Messaging can now deploy their applications on PIVOT. The first set of applications to be offered via AIMS partners include secure text messaging, notifications, alarms and alerts.

Google Mobile Services certification allows PIVOT access to Google Cloud Messaging as well as all other Google Mobile Services such as Google Play™ store and Google™ search. PIVOT’s purpose-built for work platform with Google Mobile Services enables businesses to fully tap into the productivity enhancing power of Android mobile devices in the workplace.
