Queenwood School for Girls selects Meru Networks for its new wireless LAN

Queenwood School for Girls (Queenwood) in Mosman, NSW has chosen Meru Networks’ 802.11n wireless local area network (LAN) to be implemented in its senior school campus.

The solution comprises 18 x 802.11 a/b/g/n access points, a Meru Networks’ controller and ceiling mount antennas for the access points, which provides security and aesthetic benefits.

Queenwood is regarded as a leader in technology adoption in the education space, providing students with smart classrooms – technology-rich rooms equipped with computers, data projectors, DVD and video players and touch sensitive interactive Smartboards.

The solution was ordered through Wavelink Communications’ channel partner ASI Solutions and will be installed in term four this year.

Jonathan Ordman, director, Wavelink Communications, said, “This deal further cements Meru Networks’ position as a leader in 802.11n wireless LAN.

“It provides students with the very best in wireless access to enhance their learning experience.”

Queenwood is planning to extend the solution to its other campuses in the future.
