Fluke offers free Ti32 thermal imager software upgrades for life

Updated Smartview software will extend Ti32 imager life

Sydney, August 16, 2010 – Fluke Corporation, a global leader in electronic test and measurement technology, is offering free ongoing software upgrades for its Fluke Ti32 thermal imager. The upgrades for its SmartView software are complimentary for the life of the product. This will allow Fluke customers to stay up to date with the latest innovations in thermal imaging without needing to upgrade equipment.

The Fluke Ti32 is designed to deliver unprecedented performance for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of electrical installations, electro-mechanical equipment, process equipment, HVAC/R equipment and more. Using Fluke’s patented IR-Fusion technology, users can marry high-precision thermal images with visible light images in full screen, picture-in-picture or blended views for enhanced problem detection and analysis.

The Ti32 uses Fluke SmartView software, a modular suite of tools for viewing, annotating, editing and analysing infrared images that fully supports Fluke IR Fusion technology.

SmartView software enables users to edit images in five viewing modes and generate customised professional reports in a few steps. Fluke 3D-IR three-dimensional viewing makes hot or cold spots “pop out” of the background for easy viewing and analysis.

Software upgrades ensure each unit has the latest software release, which includes new features such as new industry specific reporting templates and text annotation capabilities. It automatically checks for updates at every start of using the application, and also allows users to provide feedback to Fluke marketing and engineering personnel on recommendations for enhancements to existing features or to suggest new features that will increase productivity.

The combined capabilities of the Fluke Ti32 can help plant and system maintenance professionals reduce energy consumption, improve preventive maintenance programs and increase reliability by expanding problem detection and providing customised reports.

Steve Hood, Fluke Australia managing director said, “In addition to free SmartView software upgrades, Fluke offers customers a range of comprehensive warranty options. Repairs to a thermal imaging products are always unexpected, and they can be costly. With that in mind, Fluke has set up maintenance and warranty plans specifically made for thermal imagers. Users can choose to keep their camera in top operating condition with a Fluke CarePlan service plan.”

The Fluke CarePlan comes in Gold, Silver or Bronze. Users can purchase a CarePlan at the time of ordering a new instrument or anytime within six months of original purchase date. Fluke also provides regular infrared thermal imaging hands-on training workshops across Australia and New Zealand, and also offers local technical support on all Fluke thermal imager products.

New Fluke TiR32 thermal imager delivers 320×240 resolution

Sydney, September 4, 2009 – Fluke Corporation, the global leader in handheld electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced the Fluke TiR32 thermal imager to help Fluke customers do more with less in tough economic times.

The Fluke TiR32 is designed and priced to deliver unprecedented performance for building envelope, energy audit, weatherisation, restoration and remediation, inspection and roofing professionals who want to build their business.

The combined capabilities of the Fluke TiR32 lets building performance professionals grow their business and drive greater profitability by increasing accuracy, expanding problem detection, and providing reports to help them stand out from the competition.

Using Fluke’s patented IR-Fusion technology, users can marry high-precision thermal images with visible light images in full screen, picture-in-picture or blended views for enhanced problem detection and analysis.

IR-Fusion is the only solution available with physical parallax correction, which enables perfect alignment, pixel by pixel, of both infrared and visible images. Fluke products are the only thermal imagers on the market to incorporate IR-Fusion in both camera and software.

The Fluke TiR32 includes a three-button menu designed for intuitive operation and navigation, on-screen emissivity correction, transmissivity correction and high temperature alarm.

Each unit comes with two field-swappable, rechargeable batteries that enable virtually continuous imager use, with a typical battery life of more than four hours each. Optional telephoto and wide-angle lenses are available to bring distant and wide views into sharp focus.

The rugged Fluke TiR32 is tested to withstand a drop of 6.5 metres and is IP54 rated to withstand water and dust.  It has a widescreen, full colour LCD display, increased thermal sensitivity, ?0.05 ° C at 30 ° C target temperature, and a temperature measurement range of -20 °C to +600 °C.

The Fluke TiR32 includes a 2 gigabyte standard definition memory card that will store at least 3,000 basic infrared images, .bmp or .jpg formats, or 1,200 fully radiometric, .is2 IR Fusion file format, infrared and linked visual images, each with 60 seconds of voice annotation, as well as a multi-function memory card reader for downloading images into a computer.

Each imager comes with a rugged hard carry case and a soft transport bag, an adjustable hand strap for right- or left-handed use, two rechargeable lithium ion smart batteries, a two-bay external charger, an AC power supply and an interactive training DVD.

Fluke SmartView software, with free software upgrades for the life of the product, is also included with each thermal imager.  SmartView software is a modular suite of tools for viewing, annotating, editing and analysing infrared images that fully supports Fluke IR Fusion technology.

It enables users to edit images in five viewing modes and generate customised professional reports in a few steps. Fluke 3D-IR three-dimensional viewing makes hot or cold spots “pop out” of the background for easy viewing and analysis.

The Fluke TiR32 is designed for applications including:

* roofing surveys – detect wet areas in roofing systems quickly and efficiently. Find wet portions of the roofing structure and repair or replace before the entire roof is damaged
* weatherisation and energy audits – perform infrared energy audits for residential and commercial applications. Increase the thermal efficiency of a home or building by scanning for thermal heat loss, air infiltration or exfiltration and air delivery problems
* moisture/restoration – accurately detect moisture issues located behind exterior and interior walls, in ceilings or under carpet-covered floors
* mould remediation – control mould by finding unknown sources of moisture.

Fluke IR-Fusion® Technology
Patented Fluke IR-Fusion technology captures infrared and visible light images and simultaneously displays the images fused together, adding a new dimension of detail that saves time and money and best conveys infrared information of each specific application and environment.

It features multiple viewing modes and lets users manipulate images on the camera’s display. By enabling users to manage and analyse images with complete control over both the infrared and visible light spectrums, IR-Fusion makes it easier to identify details and potential problems.

Pricing and availability
