YSoft SAFEQ now supports Universal Print from Microsoft

— YSoft SAFEQ Cloud and on-prem family of solutions provides seamless and feature-rich print management with advanced Universal Print integration technology —

Y Soft, the leading enterprise workflow solutions provider has announced that the YSoft SAFEQ Cloud™ family (YSoft SAFEQ CloudPro™ and YSoft SAFEQ Breeze™) of print management services are fully integrated with Universal Print. YSoft SAFEQ, which provides on-premise print management services, is also fully integrated.

Universal Print, developed by Microsoft, moves key Windows Server print functionality to the Microsoft 365 cloud. Before Universal Print, customers had to deploy complicated and unreliable print driver management tools. Instead of working with a “one print queue” approach, users had to be mindful of which specific print queue to use, depending on locality, application, or document type.

“Integration with Universal Print will continue to ensure print services run smoothly and reliably across all your printers,” said Wouter Koelewijn, Chief Product Officer, Y Soft. “Our Universal Print integration technology supports cloud management, easy and secure device enrolment, and is designed for a zero-trust security environment.”

Organisations no longer need on-premise print servers to manage print queues and print drivers, a long-standing burden on IT resources. And customers who want to deploy new cloud-native print management and enterprise workflows or migrate their existing print management solution to the cloud now have a way how to do it — seamlessly, step by step, to ensure the uninterrupted operation of business-critical applications.

Through its technology partnership with Microsoft, Y Soft has developed a unique offer, which fully supports and integrates all Universal Print features and abilities and builds on standards, such as IPP Everywhere and Microsoft Graph API. Having integrated robustness and availability features, such as failover and active-active load balancing, it provides additional value add for customers and enables business-critical deployments of Universal Print.

Universal Print integrated with YSoft SAFEQ enhances the existing solution, while keeping all the benefits customers already expect from SAFEQ such as:

  • multi-vendor and multi-platform capability
  • support for cloud, on-premise, edge, or hybrid deployments
  • multi-platform cloud printing support for Windows (with or without Universal Print), Linux, Unix, MacOS, and Chrome OS

For customers, who don’t want to increase their IT overhead and budget, YSoft SAFEQ with Universal Print delivers a client-less operation on all of these platforms. No client software package, big or small, needs to be deployed and managed, resulting in substantial IT operations cost savings and eliminating negative impact on IT compliance and security.

Y Soft announces YSoft SAFEQ Cloud, a new family of cloud-based print services

–Cloud-based services offer IT hassle-free hosted infrastructure and a choice of print management features–

Y Soft, the leading enterprise workflow solutions provider, has announced YSoft SAFEQ CloudTM, a new family of cloud print management and hosted infrastructure services. YSoft SAFEQ Cloud is comprised of YSoft SAFEQ CloudProTM and YSoft SAFEQ BreezeTM. The new services remove the need for locally managed print infrastructure, like servers, and dramatically reduces the cost of providing and running robust print services—all delivered by the world’s preferred print management provider.

SAFEQ CloudPro offers robust print management features with a reserved infrastructure ideal for the enterprise. Additionally, SAFEQ CloudPro is offered with a choice of resiliency levels, Core, Ultra, and Elite, each providing increasingly higher resiliency and performance. A Custom level further enables Y Soft to meet the special infrastructure requirements on an individual customer basis, including hosting using a customer’s/partner’s own cloud provider. SAFEQ CloudPro can be used with or without a Y Soft Edge device.

SAFEQ Breeze is designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that do not have or do not want to hire IT staff to manage their print services. With core print management features and a shared hosted infrastructure, SAFEQ Breeze can also be used with or without a Y Soft Edge device.

Both SAFEQ CloudPro and SAFEQ Breeze securely and effortlessly manage an organisation’s print infrastructure. The Y Soft Edge device offers businesses additional document security as job processing is done within the business’ own private and secure network, and only metadata travels securely to the cloud. It is also well suited for remote locations with low bandwidth or latency issues.

Robert Palmer, research vice president, IDC Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions, said, “Companies of every size are leveraging the cloud to help lower IT costs, reduce IT burden, and speed up their digital transformation initiatives. However, each company has different requirements, and the YSoft SAFEQ Cloud family offers businesses the versatility and flexibility needed to assist organisations no matter where they are on their cloud journey.”

Václav Muchna, CEO and co-founder, Y Soft, said, “With YSoft SAFEQ CloudPro and YSoft SAFEQ Breeze, we are delivering on our mission to help businesses run smarter.  We significantly invested in our product development to introduce a native cloud solution that efficiently scales in the cloud as businesses’ needs grow. We will continue to add to our cloud family of services and functionalities to meet the needs of our partners and customers.

“Y Soft’s future is firmly rooted in the cloud.”

YSoft SAFEQ Cloud family availability
Both new cloud-based services are typically less expensive than on-premise solutions and come with a budget-friendly monthly or annual subscription. The YSoft SAFEQ Cloud family of services are hosted on Microsoftâ Azure and is managed by Y Soft. Updates, maintenance, and a premium service level are included.

SAFEQ Breeze with the Y Soft Edge Device is now available as a customer beta program.

YSoft SafeQ now provides secure printing from SAP

YSoft SafeQ integration with SAP ensures accountability and increased document security

Y Soft, a leading enterprise office solution provider, announced that its flagship product, YSoft SafeQ, can be integrated with SAP, a leading enterprise resource planning solution.

When integrated with SAP, business documents are processed through YSoft SafeQ’s secure print queues, and users pick up their documents after authenticating themselves at any YSoft SafeQ equipped printer in the company’s network. This makes documents more secure as they are not left exposed in the print output tray; the prints only process when the user is at the printer. YSoft SafeQ can also handle batch printing from SAP, and documents are printed in the original order. Direct print queues can also be supported.

In addition, with YSoft SafeQ’s robust reporting, businesses can account for prints originating from SAP as they strive to reduce costs and look for ways to reduce unnecessary waste and improve their sustainability efforts. Reporting also provides accountability for print activity within the SAP application.

Y Soft offers three levels of integration between YSoft SafeQ and SAP. The initial two levels can be performed by Y Soft partner resellers and an organisation’s SAP administrator.

Y Soft’s professional services team provides deeper integration for advanced functionality through the company’s available extensions and integrations.

All the available extensions and integrations that add additional print management and document capture value to a business can be viewed on the newly available YSoft SafeQ Extensions and Integrations webpage. This list of extensions and integrations previously visible only to partners via the Y Soft Partner Portal, can now be accessed by potential and existing customers on the company’s website, www.ysoft.com. These extensions and integrations allow Y Soft and Y Soft partner resellers to design a solution for customers specific needs.

With the integration between YSoft SafeQ and SAP, users can now automatically process print jobs securely and streamline the transfer of print job data over their network. Additionally, SAP users can view the status of their print job directly in the SAP NetWeaver interface.

Matej Štefaník, VP of Product Marketing, Y Soft, said, “SAP is the standard in ERP systems, and YSoft SafeQ is the standard for enterprise printing. Customers want these two leading products to work seamlessly together.”

Y Soft brings in industry veterans to spearhead growth

After releasing record fiscal year results, Y Soft Corporation announced that it is adding two industry veterans to help continue its strong global sales growth.

Document and Imaging management industry veteran Barry Löwer has been tapped as the new Chief Sales Officer (CSO). In this position, Löwer will be responsible for planning and coordinating Y Soft’s sales and business development activities across the entire Y Soft product portfolio, as well as helping lead Y Soft’s growth trajectory.

Before joining Y Soft, Löwer spent two years running international customer success and advocacy for Nuance Communications’ Imaging Division, later Kofax, which acquired the division in 2018. In the seven years before Nuance Communications, Löwer overlooked EMEA sales for its Imaging Division. Before that, Löwer spent time at Equitrac Corporation, where he established its presence in the EMEA region and led its revenue-generating activities and expansion.

“I am delighted to be leading Y Soft’s global sales team and am looking forward to working with the team to support and develop Y Soft’s global partner network. There is fantastic potential and opportunity for Y Soft and partners to realise in the digital office solutions market. By bringing together innovative technology and outstanding pre- and post-sales support, Y Soft and partners can deliver significant benefits to customers,” Löwer commented.

Y Soft recently announced that its IOTA Hardware division, which produces card readers, 3D printers, external terminals, and edge devices, had increased its percentage of overall sales to 21 per cent. Due to this growth, Ondřej Župka was hired for the newly created role of Vice President of Manufacturing to lead Y Soft’s growing manufacturing operations and strategy.

Župka brings 18 years of large-scale manufacturing experience with companies such as TE Connectivity, Honeywell, Celestica, and Flextronics. He is tasked with scaling Y Soft manufacturing for future growth by increasing automation, standardising quality management, optimising production planning, and further developing the manufacturing for startups from the Y Soft Ventures portfolio.

“Y Soft has a strong manufacturing business here in the Czech Republic,” Župka stated. “I am very proud and humbled to lead the team that is producing the hardware for YSoft SafeQ, YSoft Labs, and Y Soft Venture’s portfolio companies.”

“I believe that Barry and Ondřej bring the necessary on the ground experience that will help us execute on anticipated growth and to capitalise on the opportunities ahead of us,” said Václav Muchna, CEO and co-founder, Y Soft. “Both positions help us meet the needs of partners and customers and prime us for our growth strategy.”

With the appointment of Barry Löwer into the position of CSO, Lukáš Maňásek will move to the position of Chief of Staff, Global Sales, and will leverage his strong relationships and strong internal knowledge to support Y Soft’s regional sales teams, their partners and customers.

YSoft SafeQ managed workflows now support HP Records Manager

Sydney, Australia – Y Soft Corporation, a leading enterprise office solution provider, today announced that YSoft SafeQ Managed Workflows can now connect seamlessly with HP Records Manager 8.x, a records management system.

YSoft SafeQ Managed Workflows enable organisations to create pre-defined automated workflows for secure, swift delivery of scans to authorised locations. Automated scan workflows make scanning easy for the user and consistent and secure for an organisation while increasing productivity over that of paper-based processes.

In YSoft SafeQ Workflow Solutions Platform, IT administrators can define workflows to automatically deliver scans or batches of scans to authorised locations such as cloud-based repositories, ECS (electronic content systems) or DMS (document management systems) or line of business applications. HP Records Manager 8.x joins a growing library of destination connectors that enable direct, secure delivery of scans made on a multifunction device through the YSoft SafeQ system.

“As organisations continue to digitise their processes, digital document storage systems are increasingly used and managed by IT. These organisations need efficient and secure delivery of digital scans to these systems in a way that is easy for the user. YSoft SafeQ Managed Workflows make this a one-click user process,” said Wouter Koelewijn, SVP and General Manager, Y Soft Scanning Division.

Y Soft offers its Managed Workflows modules as a standalone solution in YSoft SafeQ Workflow Suite or in combination with it print management modules in YSoft SafeQ Enterprise Suite. Through the use of Y Soft developed connectors, organisations can connect YSoft SafeQ automated scan delivery to various 3rd party systems. The growing library of YSoft SafeQ Connectors – many of which are complementary – offer an efficient solution that can be configured to meet the productivity, security and compliance needs organisations face as they move through their digitisation life cycle.

Y Soft hardware solutions generally available for YSoft SafeQ Workflow Solutions Platform

YSoft LogoY Soft, a leading enterprise office solutions provider, has globally released new hardware solutions for its YSoft SafeQ Workflow Solutions Platform. The two hardware solutions, YSoft SafeQube 2 and YSoft Terminal Pro 4, are designed to reduce costs in an organisation’s print and digital transformation infrastructure.

Earlier this year, Y Soft announced a major update to YSoft SafeQ Workflow Solutions Platform. Now as a platform, customers can implement features and modules needed today and easily add additional features and modules using the same underlying framework and architecture, including print management and cost recovery for 3D printers.

YSoft SafeQ’s platform architecture also extended the company’s commitment to YSoft SafeQ’s core benefits: reducing print costs, increasing document security and improving employee productivity through custom document capture and automated workflows.

With the release of new hardware solutions for YSoft SafeQ, organisations have additional options to further reduce print and digital transformation infrastructure costs and extend the investment in their current fleet of multifunctional devices (MFDs). The latest hardware solutions that are now globally available provide the following:

– YSoft SafeQube 2. Expensive servers often drive the high cost of print services. By using SafeQube 2, a lightweight appliance, typically 2-4 times fewer servers can be used to support print services[1]. When used with Client Based Print Roaming® (CBPR), a software module in YSoft SafeQ, SafeQube 2 serves as a local connection point for the MFD’s user interface, to perform authentication tasks and data collection for reducing hardware costs.

– YSoft Terminal Pro 4. While SafeQ is embedded into the MFDs of the world’s most popular brands, Terminal Pro 4’s large, 7-inch capacitive touch screen provides a consistent user interface when an organisation has multiple MFD brands or when the printer doesn’t support an embedded solution.

– The Terminal Pro 4 is also the user interface panel in YSoft’s family of 3D printers, YSoft be3D DeeRed and YSoft be3D eDee.

Y Soft ensures compatibility of its software and hardware with the major MFD brands from our partners and some MFD partners require formal certification processes. YSoft SafeQ Workflow Solutions Platform received two certifications. They are:

– bEST certification from Konica Minolta. The bEST certification approves YSoft SafeQ for Konica Minolta’s portfolio of MFDs.

– Ricoh certification of YSoft SafeQ integration with Ricoh’s portfolio of MFDs.

“Research shows that a complete solution is more cost-effective than cobbling a solution together from various sources,” said Václav Muchna, Y Soft CEO and co-founder[2]. “We take pride in designing, manufacturing and testing our own hardware and software to work seamlessly with the MFDs we support.”

YSoft SafeQ workflow solutions platform and YSoft be3D eDee now generally available

YSoft LogoY Soft, a leading enterprise office solutions provider, has announced the general availability of the YSoft SafeQ workflow solutions platform and YSoft be3D eDee, the industry’s first 3D printer with print management. The latest version of YSoft SafeQ is now an integrated platform offering print management, document capture and 3D print management for reducing costs, improving productivity, and increasing document and object security.

Since announcing the YSoft SafeQ workflow solutions platform and YSoft be3D eDee in mid-March this year, partners and customers have been using the two new solutions via the company’s Early Access Release program. Now released globally, all customers can take advantage of these new capabilities:

– Document capture with automated workflows – while organisations have been enjoying the benefits of centralised print management, a need existed for integrating automated workflow solutions with centralised print management. With this integration, IT organisations can provide cost savings, productivity improvements and document security from one single application.
Sixty-seven per cent of YSoft partners and customers who participated in the Early Access Release of YSoft SafeQ indicated that the integrated automated workflow was the most anticipated new feature of YSoft SafeQ.

– Client Based Print Roaming (CBPR) – an expansion on YSoft SafeQ’s Print Roaming feature, CBPR lets complex tasks associated with printing be performed on the client workstation. This means fewer and less expensive servers are needed to support existing users and can easily scale for new users.

– Multitenancy – uses the shared economy concept, letting print service providers manage multiple customers using one instance of YSoft SafeQ, where total costs for hardware and software are shared amongst several companies.

– YSoft SafeQ Mobile Terminal – a mobile app that can be used with any multifunction device and is also a cost saving choice for devices without an embedded terminal option.

– YSoft be3D eDee, the first 3D print solution that integrates a 3D printer with YSoft SafeQ, offering comprehensive print management and accounting system designed for the Education market.

– YSoft USB Card Reader 3 is the newest and smallest card reader offering a popular way to access YSoft SafeQ functionality embedded in the major brands of multifunction devices. The card reader allows users to swipe their identification card on the reader to quickly and easily authenticate their access to the print device.

IDC notes the importance of document capture and automated workflow in a recent IDC PlanScape, “The opportunity to digitise, automate, and optimise document-intensive workflows is an area that is frequently overlooked by business leaders but is one that can provide both tactical and strategic advantages for organisations,” says Holly Muscolino, research vice president, Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions.[1]

IDC also commented on the YSoft be3D eDee solution, “IDC believes this announcement demonstrates the changing needs for management of 3D printers, especially as they enter heavily controlled 2D printing environments. eDee represents a way in which the company can help address the demands of accelerator technology by leveraging the knowledge gained from the traditional hardcopy market.”[2]

“We are inspired by the feedback we received in developing YSoft SafeQ as a platform and in introducing the industry’s first print management solution for 3D printers,” said Václav Muchna, Y Soft CEO and co-founder. “It speaks to the need organisations have for enterprise office workflow solutions that help IT bring value not only in keeping costs in check but in improving productivity.”
