Wavelink launches 5thWave to revolutionise asset and customer lifecycle management
Wavelink
March 20, 2025 — Wavelink, an Infinigate Group company and a leader in technology distribution, services, and business development in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), has launched 5thWave, a powerful asset and customer lifecycle management service designed to help partners optimise renewals, upgrades, and technology refresh cycles. 5thWave automates and streamlines the renewal process, so channel partners never miss a revenue opportunity, and drives a proactive approach to technology upgrades, refreshes, and cross-sell opportunities.
5thWave is built on the iasset.com platform and is fully integrated into Wavelink’s NetSuite ERP and Fortinet API, delivering automated renewal quotes that significantly reduce the average time to generate and send a quote. Wavelink’s 5thWave launch comes at a critical time, as the broader market braces for a wave of technology refreshes, including Fortinet’s expected firewall upgrade cycle beginning in 2025. Artificial intelligence (AI)-driven security solutions are advancing, and post-pandemic infrastructure investments are reaching maturity, driving organisations to reassess their security environments. 5thWave gives partners the tools and intelligence needed to manage these transitions proactively, eliminating the risk of missed renewals and ensuring seamless technology upgrades.
Ilan Rubin, chief executive officer, Wavelink, said, “Wavelink recognises that partners are under increasing pressure to manage complex customer lifecycles while identifying new opportunities for growth. 5thWave takes the burden out of asset and renewal management, giving partners a data-driven, automated solution that keeps customers on track and optimises sales opportunities. Wavelink is helping partners protect their existing business while unlocking new revenue streams by removing inefficiencies and automating key processes.”
5thWave provides a proactive and structured approach to asset lifecycle management. Partners receive multiple renewal notifications through the iasset.com platform at 90, 60, and 30 days before expiration, as well as post-expiry follow-up for seamless contract transitions. Wavelink has also assembled a dedicated team of five customer experience specialists to analyse install base data and identify opportunities for upgrades, cross-sells, and upsells, delivering targeted, partner-specific sales campaigns.
Ilan Rubin said, “Wavelink’s ongoing development of 5thWave will continue to enhance functionality for both partners and vendors, and the company is committed to onboarding additional vendors following a successful launch with Fortinet. Wavelink is investing in continuous improvements to keep partners ahead of renewal cycles and evolving technology demands.”
Scott Frew, chief executive officer, iasset.com, said, “iasset.com is thrilled to support Wavelink’s growth by automating sales processes and accelerating business success. Wavelink’s iasset.com implementation showcases how channel players can use cutting-edge revenue technology while integrating with existing systems seamlessly. This can be achieved with minimal disruption while delivering immediate, tangible benefits in cost reduction, revenue growth, and competitive advantage.”
Wavelink’s approach to asset lifecycle management moves beyond renewals to deliver an ongoing, strategic advantage for partners. 5thWave eliminates the need for partners to generate quotes manually, track expiration dates, or chase renewals. Instead, they gain access to a fully automated, insight-driven service that lets them focus on building stronger customer relationships and maximising revenue potential.
The 5thWave launch builds on Wavelink’s existing investment in iasset.com, following its internal iasset.com implementation in September 2024. The organisation has generated AU$5.6 million in revenue since implementing the platform, with 60 per cent of all renewal quotes now validated automatically.
Ilan Rubin said, “Wavelink’s investment in 5thWave is about more than just automation; it’s about empowering partners with a smarter, more strategic approach to lifecycle management. Fortinet’s upcoming refresh cycle and broader AI-driven transformations mean having the ability to manage technology transitions proactively is crucial. 5thWave prepares Wavelink’s partners to navigate these changes confidently while securing long-term customer retention and growth.”
